The Portal Solution extends the Smart Seal & Profile solution by enabling display of Seals and Profiles within portals on portal pages and beside search results. The Portal Solution presents a three way win-win relationship between the Internet Users of the portal, the portal owner and the Seal Provider.

As can be seen in the images above, the Portal Solution enables two central functions:

1. Display of a seal besides portal search results: display a seal beside search results for companies that have been certified by the Seal Provider.
2. Display of a seal on company profile pages within a portal: display a seal on company profile pages within a portal for companies that have been certified by the Seal provider.

To integrate the Portal Solution into a portal, the Portal Owner is given a snippet of integration code which is dynamically embedded (by the portal) beside search results and on company profile pages within the portal. The code includes a company identifier which is added dynamically by the portal. As a result, when search results are or company profile pages are displayed with the code on them, seals are displayed for companies that have been entered into the OTS.

As with the Seal & Profile solution, seal and profile setup and management are performed through the OTMS.

In addition to displaying seals on 3rd party portals, the Portal Solution offers Seal Providers the opportunity to offer seals to businesses without websites. In this case, the Seal Provider provides essentially their own portal, giving businesses a page on the portal where they can display their Seal.
